Ninja Jesus (John 6:14-15)

miracle make jesus king by force withdrew to a mountain
I think just about everyone has heard the story where Jesus feeds a lot of people with five pieces of bread and two fish, but who remembers how it really ends? The people want to force Jesus to be the new king so they can start a revolution against Roman control. To avoid this fate, Jesus heads off to the mountains. I'm curious as to how Jesus sneaks away from 5000 men, not including women and children. Did he slip into his ninja suit or invisibility cloak? Or did he just turn on stealth mode?

Why did he run from being a king anyway? Couldn't he have reached a lot more people as a king in a prominent location than as just a dude running around? Well, think about it this way. Who has more of an impact on modern society, King David or Jesus? David is the most famous king in Biblical history, but that doesn't affect us too much right now. Meanwhile lots of people celebrate major holidays every year that they at least vaguely know involves Jesus (such as his birth under a Christmas tree and his death only a few months later because he was hiding Easter eggs). Jesus didn't become king because the plan was never to establish a kingdom on earth. Jesus' role was to impact the rest of human history not through his leadership but with his sacrifice.
