Whoops! (Psalms 46:10)

So it looks like I accidentally posted twice last Monday. Such are the dangers of trying to stay ahead of the game.

Last week was supposed to be: Put me in coach (1 Timothy 6:17)

And this week was supposed to be: Busy-ness Trip (Psalms 46:10)

I thought about pulling down the Psalms 46:10 post, but it had already been seen more that the post for 1 Timothy 6:17. So check back in on both of those incase you missed one.

Fortunately I have a little nerdy addition to Psalms 46:10...

As a little bit on the though process behind the character selections, Elijah and Balaam were easy picks. It was more difficult thinking of someone who was busy and yet saw God. I originally thought perhaps David fit the mold since he made some major blunders, but the Bible says repeatedly that he had a heart after God. So I looked deeper. I was lead to the rich young ruler. He seemed to fit more in line with Christianity in the United States. He was seeking God and wanted to follow him, but his possessions (being busy in the world) were more important. He however is a step closer than many of today's Christians because he understood the gravity of the situation. It pained him greatly to need his stuff instead of God, but he wasn't yet ready to give them up. I often hope that he eventually became apart of the new church, but hopefully we can learn from his pain.
